What happen to my previous mobile service after the porting is successful?

Learn what happens to your existing mobile service after a successful number port to MyRepublic. This guide explains how your previous telco service is automatically terminated, what happens if you’re still under contract, and why you should not manually cancel your current line before porting is completed.

Once your number is successfully ported to MyRepublic, your mobile service with your previous provider will be automatically terminated.

No termination fees will apply if your contract has already ended. If you're unsure, we recommend checking with your current provider to confirm whether any termination fees apply before starting the porting request.

Important: Please do not terminate your service with your current provider yourself, this helps ensure a smooth porting process. Your line will be automatically terminated once the porting is complete.
