Mobile Troubleshooting: Your Phone Settings

Learn how to troubleshoot issues with sending or receiving SMS and OTPs by checking your network connection, SMSC settings, blocked contacts, and message configuration on your device. Learn also how to resolve roaming-related SMS issues by selecting the correct roaming network, enabling roaming in the app and phone settings, and resetting network settings if needed. Title: Mobile Troubleshooting: Network Configuration (Local - Singapore) Content: If you can't connect to MyRepublic network in Singapore, here's what you can do: 1. Manually re-select your network If you can't connect to a cellular network on your phone, make sure that you are connected to the correct service provider. How to: Go to Settings > Network Selection > set to automatic or select "MyRepublic" manually Iphone [Old IOS]:Setting-> Mobile-> Network Selection Iphone [New IOS]:Setting -> Mobile data-> Under SIMs (select the mobile no. or plan) -> Network Selection -> Off Automatic -> select the network :Setting-> Cellular -> Under SIMs (select the mobile no. or plan) -> Network Selection - > Off Automatic -> Select the network 2. Reset your Network settings How to: Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Setting Note: By doing this, it will also reset your Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before. Or you can try turning on/ off flight mode function on your phone. 2) Flight mode Make sure your flight mode/ airplane mode is disabled in your phone settings 3) Check for software upgrade Check that you are your phone's software is of the latest version. You can find this under "software update" 4) Test your SIM card using another phone We need to isolate if it's a SIM or phone issue, you can try inserting our SIM in another mobile phone to try. If the SIM works on another phone, this would mean that your current mobile handset is faulty and you may need to contact/ visit the manufacturer for further assistance 5) Check your physical SIM card Take out your SIM and check if there is any physical damage Try putting back in and see if it fits to your SIM tray If there is any physical damage on your SIM or you can't put your SIM back to your SIM tray, please contact our customer support. Let's try the following steps to get your connection back:

1) Restart your mobile phone

Try turning off and on your mobile phone to re-hook to our network. Or you can try turning on/ off flight mode function on your phone.

2) Flight mode

Make sure your flight mode/ airplane mode is disabled in your phone settings

3) Check for software upgrade

Check that you are your phone's software is of the latest version. You can find this under "software update"

4) Test your SIM card using another phone

We need to isolate if it's a SIM or phone issue, you can try inserting our SIM in another mobile phone to try.

If the SIM works on another phone, this would mean that your current mobile handset is faulty and you may need to contact/ visit the manufacturer for further assistance

5) Check your physical SIM card

  • Take out your SIM and check if there is any physical damage

  • Try putting back in and see if it fits to your SIM tray

If there is any physical damage on your SIM or you can't put your SIM back to your SIM tray, please contact our customer support.
